Code of Conduct

What we're for

This is a calm, slow, private place. No infinite scroll, no notifications chasing you, no algorithm deciding what you see, no counting who posts the most. You can show up when you have the energy, read without replying, and leave without explaining. That's not a limitation — it's the point.

The core commitments

These are the ones that get you removed if you break them:

• Treat every member with respect. No harassment, hate, bigotry, racism, or transphobia. This is not negotiable.
• Protect each other's privacy.What's shared here stays here. Don't screenshot, quote, or carry members' words or identities anywhere outside this space. It's members-only and hidden from search engines on purpose.
• No exploitation. No scams, spam, recruiting, MLMs, or using this community to sell to or take advantage of members.
• Assume good faith, and repair harm.Everyone here is navigating something. People misspeak, misread, and have bad days. When you get something wrong, own it and make it right — that's the whole skill. When someone else does, give them the room to.

In the forum

• It's asynchronous. Go at your pace. Nobody is owed a fast reply. Threads wait for you. Reading is participating.
• Disagreement is fine; cruelty is not.You can push back on an idea without going after the person. No pile-ons — if five people have already said the same thing, you don't need to be the sixth.
• Use content warnings for heavy stuff. Posts support a content warning — a short label that hides the body until someone chooses to open it. Use it for anything that could blindside someone: self-harm, abuse, eating stuff, medical detail, and so on. When in doubt, add one. It costs you nothing and protects someone.
• Thread titles are visible to everyone — keep the heavy content inside the post behind a CW, not in the title.

In events

• Organize freely, within the same values.Calls, co-working, game nights, support hours — whatever the community wants. Times show in each person's own timezone; there's a one-click calendar download and no reminder spam from us.
• If you make an event, show up for it— and if you have to cancel, cancel it (don't just vanish). A quick cancellation is a courtesy, not an obligation to explain.
• RSVPs are "going" or "maybe." No pressure to commit, no penalty for changing your mind.

Motion, sound, and sensory safety

• The site defaults to calm and still. It honors your operating system's "reduce motion" setting automatically, and there's a "freeze all motion" switch in your settings that keeps everything static, permanently, regardless of anything else.
• If animated content (GIFs) is ever enabled, it will be static-first — a still image until you choose to play it — and gated so it can't be dumped on the whole community.
• Motion that causes physical harm is treated as urgent. If something makes you dizzy, nauseous, or triggers a photosensitive reaction, report it — moderators act on those first.

Reporting, and what happens next

You can report a post, an event, a message, or a member. Reports go to a private moderator queue; the person you reported doesn't see that it was you. Moderators can add a content warning, remove a post/thread/event (removals are reversible — content is hidden, not erased), have a quiet word by DM, or restrict or suspend a member for repeated or serious harm. If you're ever on the receiving end of moderation and think it was wrong, DM a moderator — it's a conversation, not a verdict.

About "trust tiers"

A couple of things — creating events, and GIFs if they're ever enabled — open up over time. Nothing here should feel like a locked door, so, plainly:

• Trust tiers are a capability, not a status. Nobody can see your tier. There's no badge, no ranking, no leaderboard.
• From day one you can post, reply, react, RSVP, and start conversations. The only thing rate-limited for brand-new accounts is rapidly creating many new threads — a spam guard, not a wall.
• A couple of higher-reach actions open up once you've been around a bit. You never have to ask — a moderator watches and lifts it for you. If you want it sooner, just say so.

Enforcement

Moderators may warn, add content warnings, remove content, restrict, suspend, or remove members who break the core commitments. We aim to talk first and act proportionately — but keeping this space safe for the people in it comes before anyone's comfort in breaking it.
